My husband and I purchased a 40-year-old home with the intent to do most of the remodeling ourselves. One of the best decisions was hiring Jeri Cheney to help us with the interior design. Since we gutted the house, the most important thing she did was draw plans for where she thought the new walls should be. Her suggestions were ingenious, and we followed nearly all of them. We love how well each room flows into the next.
What I appreciated most about Jeri was she never pressured us to do something different than what we wanted. For example, the colors we liked were not popular, but she happily helped us choose paint, tile, carpet, countertops, and wood flooring according to our preferences.
I was unsure of what light fixtures and furniture I should choose for our home. Jeri designed rooms so I could see how everything would look and then sent me links so I could easily purchase the things I wanted. She even gave me ideas for bathroom mirrors and blinds. We have loved everything we’ve purchased as it fits our style and looks great in our home! We still have a few more rooms to buy furniture for and you’d better believe we plan to use Jeri’s expertise again.
I have already recommended Jeri to several of my friends and will continue to do so. She is knowledgeable, pleasant, and so easy to work with. To me, those are the best qualities an interior designer can have.
